KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has raised its stake in ITMax System Bhd after acquiring one million shares on March 3 through portfolios managed by Citigroup Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd.
The one million units, which were bought on Tuesday, are equivalent to a 0.097 per cent stake, ITMax Ststem said in a bourse filing today.
Following the transaction, EPF's direct interest in ITMax System increased to more than 51.8 million shares, representing about five per cent of the company.
On the same day, the retirement fund disposed of 510,700 shares, reflecting portfolio rebalancing.
The shares reportedly are held across several EPF-managed mandates including Amundi, AHAM Asset Management, Nomura and Franklin Templeton, underscoring the fund's diversified investment strategy.
The move reflects EPF's continued focus on strategic investments in technology-related companies as part of its long-term value creation strategy for contributors.
