KUALA LUMPUR: ARB Bhd's indirect subsidiary Databook Pte Ltd has partnered Asterisk Computer (Far East) Pte Ltd to facilitate the deployment of enterprise application software (EAS) solutions in Malaysia and Singapore.

In a statement issued today, ARB said the parties will explore and undertake business opportunities in the area of EAS solutions and any related information technology consultancy services.

under a separate outsourcing partnership agreement, Asterisk will also engage Databook to design, develop and implement EAS solutions and to provide enterprise solutions-related consulting services to Asterisk on a project basis.

Databook will be the sole and exclusive owner of the whole development of the solutions and shall be responsible for the implementation of its business applications for Asterisk Computer.

Singapore-based Databook is principally involved in the development of software, programming activities and software distribution.

Meanwhile Asterisk, also incorporated in Singapore, is principally involved in the provision of IT consultancy and related It professional services.

Via this partnership, the group hopes to expand its regional footprint in Singapore while leveraging on Asterisk's capabilities in the application of enterprise software solutions.

It added that it would be able to cross-sell enterprise application software solution-related products and services to Asterisks' customer base to generate greater revenue and market share.
