PETALING JAYA: Star Media Group Bhd
(SMG) has appointed Tan Sri Chor Chee Heung as its new chairman.
Chor, 66, replaces Datuk Fu Ah Kiow, who resigned effectively on March 1, as independent and non-executive chairman of SMG effective March 15,2021.
A lawyer by profession and was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn, Chor was elected Member of Parliament for five terms at the Alor Star constituency between 1990 and 2013.
During that period between 2008 and 2013, Chor served as Minister of Housing and Local Government, and was appointed Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Deputy Minister of Finance.
