KUALA LUMPUR (June 3): Trading in shares of MMC Corp Bhd has been suspended from 2.30pm onwards.

In a bourse filing, the group said the suspension in trading was effective pending a material announcement.

"Accordingly, trading in structured warrants relating to MMCCORP has also been suspended at the same time,” it said.

According to market talk, the group is subject to a privatisation exercise, via a selective capital reduction of about RM1.80 to RM2 per share.

MMC shares were last traded up 10 sen or 8.33% at RM1.30, valuing it at RM3.96 billion.
