Ms. Ruthrainee Karthigesu ("Ms. Ruth") is a seasoned corporate governance professional with extensive experience in company secretarial services across the aviation and investment sectors. 

Ms. Ruth joined AirAsia in August 2020 as a pioneer of the in-house Group Governance and Company Secretarial team, having previously served the group as an external secretarial client since 2016. Throughout her tenure, Ms. Ruth has been instrumental in overseeing and navigating the governance and secretarial matters of Capital A Berhad and AirAsia Aviation Group. 

She currently serves as Head of Group Aviation Company Secretarial and has been appointed as the Group Company Secretary of AirAsia X Berhad, effective 19 January 2026. In her expanded role at AirAsia X Berhad, she will continue supporting the board of directors and management, ensuring robust compliance with relevant regulatory obligations, and driving the continuous adoption of best practices in corporate governance.
