CIMB wishes to announce that it will be seeking its shareholders' approval for the proposed renewal of the authority for CIMB to purchase its own shares of up to 10% of the issued and paid-up share capital of CIMB ("Proposed Shares Buy-Back") at its 69th Annual General Meeting to be convened on a date to be announced later.

Information on the Proposed Shares Buy-Back will be included in the Annual Report, which will be made available in due course.
