The Board of Directors of Berjaya Corporation Berhad (“BCorporation”) wishes to announce that BCorporation has on 16 January 2019 entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Company (“SMPV”) for the proposed collaboration on the manufacture, assembly and sale of Morris Garages (“MG”), a British car marque, provision of after sale services and other related supporting services in Malaysia.

SMPV is the branch company of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange and is involved in the manufacture and sales of self-owned brands vehicles including ROEWE and MG as well as involved in research and development.

A separate announcement will be made once the parties entered into the definitive agreements.

The MOU is available for inspection at the Registered Office of BCorporation at Lot 13-01A, Level 13 (East Wing), Berjaya Times Square, No. 1 Jalan Imbi, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, during normal office hours from Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays) for a period of three (3) months from the date of this Announcement.
