The Board of Directors of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (“KLK” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that PT. Anugrah Surya Mandiri (“PT ASM”), an Indonesian incorporated company has been placed under voluntary liquidation upon obtaining their shareholders approval on 10 January 2020. PT ASM is a 95% owned subsidiary of KL-Kepong Plantation Holdings Sdn. Bhd., which is in turn a wholly-owned subsidiary of KLK.

PT ASM is currently dormant with its previous intended principal activity being the conduct of business in the field of palm oil plantation and palm oil industry.

Mr. Tan Poh Teck (i.e. the Finance Director of a KLK's subsidiary in Indonesia) has been appointed on 10 January 2020 as the Liquidator of PT ASM for the winding up of PT ASM. 

The winding up of PT ASM will not have any material operational financial impact on the net assets and earnings per share of KLK Group for the financial year ending 30 September 2020.

None of the Directors or substantial shareholders of the Company or persons connected to them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the voluntary liquidation.
