With reference to Aneka’s announcement dated 13 January 2022 in relation to the Adjudication Claim against Impero Land Sdn. Bhd. (“Litigation”), and the query from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) vide its letter dated 14 January 2022 in relation to the Litigation, the Company wishes to announce the following as required by Bursa Securities:-

1. The estimated potential liability to the Aneka Jaringan Holdings Berhad (“Aneka”) group arising from the Litigation.

The estimated potential liability to the Aneka Group is minimal as Aneka Jaringan Sdn. Bhd. (“AJSB”) is the claimant for the Outstanding Sum on the works done. All the claims put forward by AJSB had been duly certified by the client’s project management consultant. The total amount of invoices and retention sum certified is RM5,733,682.58 comprising of RM5,271,137.48 and retention sum of RM462,545.10.

2. The financial and operational impact to the Aneka group.

As the Litigation is at the preliminary stage, the Company is not in a position to determine the outcome of the Litigation. In any event, the Litigation is not expected to have any material financial and operational impact on Aneka group at this point of time.

As at the date of this announcement, there are no expected losses arising from the Litigation.

The Company will make the appropriate announcements to Bursa Securities as and when there are material developments in relation thereto in accordance with the ACE Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities.
