The Board of DRB-HICOM wishes to announce that on 28 April 2023, Geely International (Hong Kong) Limited (“GIHK”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd. (“ZGH”) completed the transfer of its entire equity interest in Proton Holdings Berhad (“PHB”) comprising 547,020,534 ordinary shares, representing 49.9% equity interest in PHB to its affiliate, Linkstate Overseas Limited (“LOL”) pursuant to the completion of an internal restructuring in ZGH Group (“Transfer of PHB Shares”). LOL is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (“Geely Auto”), a listed company on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited which is also an affiliate of ZGH.

The Transfer of PHB Shares from GIHK to LOL will not have any effect on the net assets, earnings, gearing, share capital, shareholding structure and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of the DRB-HICOM group for the financial year ending 31 December 2023.
