Data Centre Task Force (DCTF) and the government would ensure the country’s energy security remained safeguarded. More importantly, government needs to ensure that Rakyat will not need to absorb higher electricity costs and rates going forward once all approved data centres were duly completed as TNB will need to invest significantly into additional CAPEX. Energy demand will be really high based on the number of data centres already approved in recent years.
