CGS-CIMB Securities appoints new CEO-designate, deputy CEO of sales

KUALA LUMPUR (March 1): CGS-CIMB Securities has appointed Azizah Mohd Yatim as its new CEO-designate as part of the securities firm’s business transformation initiative to drive expansion and growth. 

In a statement on Wednesday (March 1), CGS-CIMB said Azizah brings over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, wherein she had previously served as Maybank Investment Bank’s head of new clients and business development, and KAF Equities’ executive director.

“She will continue to grow the CGS-CIMB franchise to ensure high quality and consistent service to institutional and retail clients,” it added.

Meanwhile, CGS-CIMB said it has appointed Khairi Shahrin Arief Baki as its deputy CEO of sales. 

It continued that Khairi has served as MIDF Group Bhd’s senior vice president, head of digitalisation, and i-VCAP Management’s CEO.

“He will work alongside Alan Inn, the existing [CGS-CIMB] deputy CEO, who will continue to serve in his current position. 

“Combined with the skills and expertise of Azizah and Khairi, Alan’s extensive knowledge and long-standing contribution to CGS-CIMB will add to future innovations and better service excellence,” it added.

CGS-CIMB group CEO Carol Fong said the group is confident in its Malaysian leadership that promises to raise the CGS-CIMB brand to new levels, adding that their extensive experience and expertise in their respective fields will be instrumental in achieving CGS-CIMB’s ambitious goals for 2023.
