KUALA LUMPUR: Genting Malaysia Bhd
has officially announced its wholly-owned subsidiary Genting New York LLC had been awarded a commercial casino licence by the New York State Gaming Commission on Dec 15, 2025.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, it said Resorts World New York City is expected to open the first phase of the integrated resort by the second quarter of 2026.
It was reported this morning that all three downstate New York casino applications - which included Genting's at the Aqueduct Racetrack in the Queens borough- have received approval for their projects.
