Landmarks, Keck Seng join list of hotel operators to suspend operations due to pandemic

KUALA LUMPUR: LANDMARKS BHD, the operator of The Andaman luxury hotel in Langkawi, and KECK SENG (M) BHD joined a growing number of hotel and resort operators worldwide to suspend their operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Landmarks, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, said the move to temporarily close its resorts and leisure operations in Malaysia and Indonesia was effective immediately.

Landmarks is the owner and operator of Treasure Bay Bintan Island in Indonesia.

"This drastic decision is a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic which has caused serious and significant disruption to both domestic and international travel," it said.
