KUALA LUMPUR: Nylex (Malaysia) Bhd said wholly owned subsidiary Fermpro Sdn Bhd has obtained an approval from Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) to double its ethanol production capacity.
Ethanol is used mainly to manufacture sanitisers and disinfectants.
"To cater for the additional production capacity, Fermpro will construct and invest in a new manufacturing plant," the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
The construction of the new manufacturing plant is estimated to cost up to RM20mil and it is expected to complete in 18 months.
