Would like to ask, people complain on tnb 4%+ pa dividend, but no one complain on public bank which pay 3%+. Any reason for it?

When you are used to having high pay with benefits and got a sudden cut in both pay and benefits, would you complain or hail?

I agree with Keith, at Public bank current price, it just not attractive the dividend and they don't seem to he able to grow.. I also don't understand pmetal profit and dividend much lower than tenaga, but market cap bigger than tenaga

Jian, actually i just dont understand, is it because of public bank got more better future gain, that why less complain? I wish to learn, not to argue, tnb i hold some too, i did disappointed with this year dividend rate, i expect for at least 6-7%, i give up on mbb and bought tnb few month ago, and yes, i regret on my decision made, low dividend than mbb. But its ok, i can hold till share price go up.

if u ask me Keith, if u look at Public bank profit, they can't seem to grow any further, the only good thing is their earning is pretty consistent but flat too.. at this dividend yield rate, I would say tenaga is a better choice

Jian, that mean investor in pbb is more want a stable dividend. Anyways i will still hold tnb share, i believe after the new so call investment on tnb will generate more profit in future, and hoping tnb will give higher dividend rate. Thank for your explain dude.

yes, tenaga just need to add another 5 to 10 sen dividend a year and the rate would be at least 5% dividend yield per year which is not too bad.. by the way, may I know at what price did u buy?

in this case you may consider average down when it drop every 50 cent

Ang, yes previously 80 cent, roughly 8%+ year 2020, for year 2021 only 40 cent.

Jian: alright, but i think share price wont drop less than 8.50

I believe tenaga should be able to give at least 40 cent dividend per year if there is no lockdown anymore, hence unlikely price will go below 8.5

I invest in Public Bank for its stable dividend and long term capital gain. It has one of the lowest record of NPL among its peers, but it needs to speed up its digitisation transformation to keep up the competition.

For Tenaga, no special dividend this round is much expected given the challenges faced by TNB. You have rising fuel cost and restrictions to increase the tariffs by the government, all odds are against TNB.

Chris, ok i got it, i aiming for dividend gain, of cause not to lose on capital too. Remain of capital is fine for me. In that mean, pbb is aiming for capital gain then, since the dividend rate is like 3-4%, for me 3-4% i rather put in fd, at least no risk of capital loss. Thank bro.

Jian, yeah i dont think the share will drop below 9, but, last week its drop below 9, as my taught, the dividend rate will be like 5-6% if the share price is only 8+, so i believe its wont drop below 9, its monopoly business in malaysia.

Ppl dont believe in fundamental or future prospects. If share price drop = rubbish comp. Share prise rose = good comp. When u r stuck in high floor, you will start to complain

If those ppl believe in fundamentals believe in what they bought, they wouldnt be scolding epf for selling. In fact they will thanks epf for selling, so that they can buy cheap ticket.
