Actually no point to buy in just for the 90cents dividend, bcos that is your money also. People buying is bcos confident before or after ex date share price will increase.

Ppl wont sold after ex at correction price. If no gain at the end why buy. They will get the dividend and sold only price being chase higher after -0.90, etc +0.10 , +0.20 onward sold den got point

why people still not understand how divident works. if u sell direct after ex no point to buy xD unless your avgr price is very low. xD

Iam, you're right for normal case. However with the dividend as high as 90 cents, you will still profit no matter what if you sell after the EX date, unless the share price drop drastically

Michael, I agreed with you. not necessary it drop exactly 90 cents. If it drop lesser than 90 cents from your purchase price, it consider profit too.
