KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia traded marginally lower at mid-day due to profit-taking, particularly in telecommunication, consumer product, and plantation counters.
At 12.30 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) eased 1.27 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 1,612.93 from Thursday’s close of 1,614.20.
The benchmark opened 4.31 points lower at 1,609.89, and moved between 1,607.66 and 1,615.10 throughout the morning trading session.
However, the market breadth was negative with 508 decliners outpacing 367 gainers. A total of 454 counters were unchanged, 1,341 untraded, and 60 suspended.
